IB Year 2 Standard Level Computer Science
Thursday 17 December 2020 - Block 5
← previous note | most current note | next note →Daily Note
As today is the day before a well-earned holiday break, I thought we'd do something a bit different and look through some Linux magazines for articles to discuss. This is very similiar to our current event activity we do every Friday. After our current event activity, I'd like to discuss what interests you about computer games and technology in general.
My hope is we have a relaxing, entertaining class where we talk about our interests and passion in technology!
Statement of Inquiry
The big idea for today is Computational thinking.
The essential questions for this topic are:
How do we think about problems in a way which makes them solvable for a computer?
It takes time to explore and really understand a big idea. If you want to
learn more about
computational thinking (which is connected to today's daily note),

.
We are learning this because as a designers must understand scientific and technical innovation. Designers use systems, models, methods, and processes to solve problems.
